Spicy Alabama White BBQ Sauce

Spicy Alabama White BBQ Sauce

Recently I posted a recipe for the crispiest spatchcock chicken. In it was my recipe for a spicy Alabama white BBQ sauce. Well, it took me a few weeks but here is the recipe for my blog.  This is a seriously good white BBQ sauce with just the right amount of heat. It you like a vinegary sauce for your BBQ chicken this recipe is for you! Now sit back, grab an ice cold pilsner, and enjoy this post for Spicy Alabama White BBQ Sauce.

Spicy Alabama White BBQ Sauce

Measure out 1 cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, 1 Tbs Chili Paste (sambal oelek), 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp lemon juice, 2 Tbs sugar, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp onion powder, ¼ tsp gochugaru pepper (or red pepper flakes).

I love Korean chili peppers (gochugaru pepper) for their distinctive flavor. It is worth ordering some for this and other dishes calling for red pepper flakes. In addition, sambal oelek is the right kind of chili sauce for this recipe as it has heat and a bit of vinegary flavor to it.

Best use for this sauce is on BBQ chicken but I am sure it will work on pork too!
